Our story began in 2004 as Jovance Salon - one of the only multicultural salons on the west coast providing diverse services in an upscale atmosphere.

Jovance Beauty & Wellness Studios is a unique business that began as the award-winning Jovance Salon. Founded in 2004 by Michael and Maya Parker, Jovance has always been dedicated to merging Michael’s experience in lean management into the beauty industry and creating an entirely new and unique business model.
With this mission in mind, Michael and Maya began meeting with four stylists, integrating their ideas to become one team. United by their shared desire to create a professional and team atmosphere, other beauty professionals began to join the Jovance team serving diverse clientele with all hair types - using care, specialized skill and speed in an upscale and family-like environment.
Jovance Salon’s story is very unique because it is one of the only multi-cultural salons on the west coast providing diverse services in an upscale atmosphere, while making clients feel part of the salon family. The strong teamwork of the stylists and technicians was proven by the efficiency of their services and showcased in their care for the clients so that each guest walked away feeling beautiful inside and out.
When Jovance Salon needed to temporarily shut down in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team began working on a plan to re-open Jovance in a whole new way. Although the closure presented some challenges at first, the team at Jovance found an opportunity to re-invent in a way to meet new industry standards, allowing beauty professionals to grow while still providing quality service.
Beauty & Wellness Studios in 2020
After much preparation and planning, the move was made to officially transition to Jovance Beauty & Wellness Studios. We found an opportunity to re-invent Jovance with a focus on professionalism, commitment to support the growth of salon owners, togetherness and cleanliness. With the strong focus on the team in a supportive atmosphere, our tenant stylists help one another with skill development through training and mentorship.
In 2023, we opened our flagship Concord studio—a beautifully designed suite space featuring a curated Wellness Bar and a state‑of‑the‑art Event Center. This location represents our commitment to holistic beauty and wellness in one welcoming environment.
Joule by Jovance – Danville (2025) Building on our success, we expanded to Danville in 2025 with Joule by Jovance—a boutique fitness and wellness studio. Featuring boutique barre, strength, rebound, and yoga classes, plus functional testing, nutrition support, med‑spa services, and luxury wellness products, Joule represents our next step in comprehensive, community‑centered wellbeing
